About Einayim
Einayim (Hebrew for Eyes) is a monthly magazine for children aged 6-13. Every issue of Einayim revolves around a central topic and includes short stories, articles, riddles, comics, and creative projects.
A magazine of culture and science for children
Einayim aims to broaden children’s horizons, expose them to new ideas, and encourage independent and creative thinking – all within a safe environment. Each issue presents readers with informative and thought-provoking content in various areas of art, science, and culture.
Since its inception in 1994, Einayim has invited Israel's leading writers and researchers to contribute works of fiction and articles. The magazine is meticulously edited to ensure that all texts are clear and engaging, without compromising depth and quality.
Einayim places a special emphasis on the visual aspects of children’s engagement with the texts. The magazine is well-known for its illustrations, hosting leading artists while also providing a platform for talented illustrators at the early stages of their careers.
Children are part of every issue
A significant part of Einayim’s content is created by the children themselves. The magazine has several sections that invite readers to contribute their own drawings, photographs, stories, and comics to the magazine. Children’s submissions are reviewed each month by a professional photographer, a painter, and a comic artist, who curate a selection of works to be published, with supportive feedback, in the next issue. All submissions by children are published on our website, creating a beautiful digital gallery.
Each issue of Einayim is the result of extensive thought and hard work. Careful observation, creative ideas, and flexibility allow for change and development from one issue to another. At the same time, the various recurring sections and features provide consistency and continuity.
We hope you enjoy our magazine as much as we do!
